Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 42 points to 13,226.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 5.10 points to 1,432.10. Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 14 points to 2,676.00.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.27%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.34%, French CAC 40 Index declined 0.02% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.38%.

Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 0.96%, China's Shanghai Composite jumping 0.10% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.49%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.08% and India's Sensex climbed 0.63%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Susquehanna upgraded Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE: GS) from “neutral” to “positive.” The target price for Goldman Sachs has been raised from $127 to $149.

Goldman Sachs shares gained 0.10% to $123.61 in after-hours trading.
