By 2:10 pm, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 61.94 points, or 0.47%, to 13,196.95, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 10.78 points, or 0.76%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 22.14 points, or 0.75%.

Some of the narrow based indexes that are driving the markets are Geothermal Stocks, which have gained 5.3%, Homebuilder Stocks, up 3.7%, and Stem Cell Stocks, moving 3.4% higher as a group.

In Tickerspy's Geothermal complex, U.S. Geothermal (AMEX: HTM) had surged 9.8%. U.S. Geothermal's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $6.11 million.

The best performing Tickerspy Homebuilder stock has been Hovnanian Enterprises (NYSE: HOV), which was up 7.1%. Hovnanian shares have jumped 317.32% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 17.28% in the same period.

Geron (NASDAQ: GERN) is today's leading Tickerspy's Stem Cell stock, gaining 4.5%. Geron had $100.45 million in total cash for the latest quarter.
