Community Health Systems to Pay Special Dividend of $0.25

Community Health Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) CYH today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a special cash dividend of $0.25 per share payable on December 28, 2012, to holders of record of the Company's common stock at the close of business on December 17, 2012. The aggregate amount of payment to be made in connection with the special cash dividend will be approximately $23.0 million.
