US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 49 points to 12,912.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 6.30 points to 1,399.00. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 8.50 points to 2,625.75. US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 1.35% to 13,009.68, the S&P 500 index gaining 1.30% to 1,409.15 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 1.38% to 2,966.85. SeaDrill Limited SDRL is estimated to report its Q3 earnings at $0.68 per share on revenue of $1.11 billion. Hillenbrand HI is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.44 per share on revenue of $259.03 million. Shares of Amazon.com AMZN will be in focus on Cyber Monday. European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.42%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.47%, French CAC 40 Index declined 0.65% and German DAX 30 index fell 0.32%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.24%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.49% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.27%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 0.24% India's Sensex rose 0.16%. The ICE dollar index (DXY) fell 0.01% to trade at 80.21, versus 80.190 in Friday trading. The euro dropped 0.01% against the dollar to trade at $1.2967, down from $1.2983 on Friday. The US dollar fell 0.36% against the Japanese yen to trade at ¥82.0650, versus ¥82.35 in late trading on Friday.
