By 10:12 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 144.18 points, or 1.15%, to 12,732.49, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 19.17 points, or 1.41%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 39.01 points, or 1.37%.

Some of the narrow based indexes that are driving the markets are Stem Cell Stocks, which have gained 8.2%, Semiconductor Fabricator Stocks, up 5.7%, and Rare Earth Stocks, moving 4.3% higher as a group.

In Tickerspy's Stem Cell complex, BioTime (AMEX: BTX) had surged 14.4%. BioTime had $7.83 million in total cash and no debt for the recent quarter.

The best performing Tickerspy Semiconductor Fabricator stock has been Tower Semiconductor Ltd (NASDAQ: TSEM), which was up 8.9%. Tower Semiconductor's PEG ratio is 0.33.

Lynas Corporation Limited (OTC: LYSCF) is today's leading Tickerspy's Rare Earth stock, gaining 12%. Lynas shares have dropped 48.67% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 13.99% in the same period.
