A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are slightly lower this morning, after President Barack Obama won the re-election. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 13 points to 13,188.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.40 points to 1,424.80. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 0.25 points to 2,675.50.

European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 0.43%, London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.34%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.46% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.46%. Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.03%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.01% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.68%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.71% and India's Sensex gained 0.45%.

Analysts at Janney Capital upgraded LivePerson

from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for LivePerson has been lowered from $18 to $17. LivePerson shares dropped 3.81% to $14.12 in pre-market trading.
