US Stock Futures Slightly Higher Ahead Of Presidential Election

US stock futures are slightly higher this morning, ahead of the presidential election. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 11 points to 13,002.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.50 points to 1,406.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 3.25 points to 2,644.25. US stocks closed lower on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.86% to 13,118.34, the S&P 500 index falling 0.94% to 1,414.20 and the Nasdaq 100 index dipping 1.26% to 2,982.13. The Institute for Supply Management is scheduled to release its non-manufacturing index for October at 10:00 a.m. ET. McDermott International

Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 0.47% and India's Sensex gained 0.04%. Gold futures for December delivery rose $4.80 to trade at $1,680.00 an ounce. The ICE dollar index gained 0.21% to trade at 80.73, up from 80.600 in late North American trading Friday.
