A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting weekly jobless claims data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 48 points to 13,069.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 6.70 points to 1,412.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 16.75 points to 2,667.25.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.52%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.21%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.58% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.55%.
Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 1.13%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.68% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.06%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.21% and India's Sensex gained 0.29%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Bernstein upgraded Honeywell International (NYSE: HON) from “market perform” to “outperform.” The target price for Honeywell has been raised from $72 to $76.
Honeywell shares gained 1.20% to $61.75 in pre-market trading.
