Facebook VP for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Joanna Shields, Leaving to Head London's Tech City -UK Telegraph

Joanna Shields, Facebook FB VP for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is leaving to help create a new Silicon Valley in East London . Ms Shields will head the Tech City Investment Organization, according to the Sunday Telegraph. Tech City, which currently has 3,000 digital companies, was launched in 2011. Most of the companies located in Tech City are start-ups. Ms Shields worked closely with Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, and has been described as “the most influential person in European technology”.
