Almost Half of iPhone 4 Users Think They Have This iPhone 5 Feature
Now that the iPhone 5 has been unveiled, AT&T (NYSE: T) and Verizon (NYSE: VZ) might think that they can finally convince users to sign up for an expensive 4G data plan. There is just one problem -- nearly half of iPhone 4 users think they already have 4G.
"Our research indicates that 46% of iPhone 4 users believe that they already have 4G," Ronan de Renesse, a Principal Analyst at Analysys Mason, said in an e-mail this morning. "The question is how do you convince those customers to buy an LTE contract?"
This does not bode well Apple's plans to promote the iPhone 5 as a 4G LTE device.
