A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 31 points to 13,268.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 3.50 points to 1,429.90. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 4.75 points to 2,789.25.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.44%, French CAC 40 index dropped 0.42%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.41% and German DAX 30 index fell 0.10%.
Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.70%, China's Shanghai Composite declining 0.67% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.22%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.15% and India's Sensex rose 0.49%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Citigroup downgraded Owens-Illinois (NYSE: OI) from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for Owens-Illinois has been lowered from $28 to $22.
Owens-Illinois shares fell 0.20% to close at $19.62 yesterday.
