US Stock Futures Slightly Higher Ahead Of Durable Goods Data

US stock futures are slightly higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 10 points to 13,049.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.20 points to 1,400.20. Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 1.50 points to 2,762.50. US stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.88% to 13,057.46, the S&P 500 index falling 0.81% to 1,402.08 and the Nasdaq 100 index declining 0.66% to 3,053.40. Data on July durable goods orders will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Madison Square Garden Company MSG is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.22 per share on revenue of $277.14 million. ReneSola Ltd SOL is estimated to report a Q2 loss at $0.34 per share on revenue of $219.21 million. Syswin SYSW is expected to report a Q2 loss at $0.03 per share on revenue of $15.62 million. Salesforce.com CRM issued downbeat third-quarter adjusted earnings forecast. Aruba Networks ARUN reported stronger-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter adjusted earnings. Autodesk ADSK reported weaker-than-expected second-quarter sales and issued downbeat third-quarter revenue forecast. European markets were mostly lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.10%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.09%, French CAC 40 Index fell 0.30% and German DAX 30 index declined 0.23%. Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average declining 1.17%, China's Shanghai Composite falling 0.99% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.80%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 1.25% and India's Sensex fell 0.38%. Nymex crude-oil futures dropped $0.10 to trade at $96.17 a barrel, while gold futures fell $0.50 to $1,672.30 an ounce. The dollar index (DXY) gained 0.2% to 81.494. The euro fell 0.34% versus the dollar to trade at $1.2521. The US dollar gained 0.11% versus the Japanese yen to trade at ¥78.5750.
