A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning, ahead of the minutes of the recent Fed meeting. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 27 points to 13,172.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 4.30 points to 1,408.20. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 7.50 points to 2,766.50.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 0.86%, French CAC 40 index dropped 0.94%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 1.07% and German DAX 30 index fell 0.86%.
Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.27%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.50% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.17%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dropped 1.06% and India's Sensex fell 0.21%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at JPMorgan downgraded GlaxoSmithKline plc (NYSE: GSK) from “neutral” to “underweight.”
GlaxoSmithKline shares dropped 0.78% to $45.71 in pre-market trading.
