US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings reports. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 29 points to 13,096.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 4.10 points to 1,394.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 14.75 points to 2,701.25.

A Peek Into Global Markets

European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.11%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.57%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.12% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.32%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 0.88%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.13% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.43%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index surged 0.37% and India's Sensex rose 1.08%.
