A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 81 points to 12,718.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 9.10 points to 1,344.00. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 18.25 points to 2,561.75.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 1.12%, French CAC 40 index jumped 1.98%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.64% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.56%.
Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 0.92%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.47% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.54%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.08% and India's Sensex fell 1.12%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Goldman Sachs upgraded Schlumberger Limited (NYSE: SLB) from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for Schlumberger has been raised from $88 to $95.
Schlumberger shares fell 0.07% to $68.20 in after-hours trading.
