A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning, after the release of the FOMC minutes. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 99 points to 12,437.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 11.60 points to 1,324.70. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 18.75 points to 2,542.75. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 1.08%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 1.21%, French CAC 40 Index declined 0.56% and German DAX 30 index fell 1.11%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 1.48%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.46% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.70%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 2.03% India's Sensex fell 1.47%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Janney Capital downgraded Hormel Foods HRL from “neutral” to “sell.” The target price for Hormel Foods has been lowered from $27 to $25.
