A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 59 points to 12,744.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 5.20 points to 1,354.40. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 11.25 points to 2,617.25.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 1.17%, London's FTSE 100 Index surged 0.98%, French CAC 40 Index gained 1.23% and German DAX 30 index rose 1.49%.
Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.44%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.29% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.53%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.16% India's Sensex rose 1.30%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Goldman Sachs downgraded MAKO Surgical (NASDAQ: MAKO) from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for MAKO Surgical has been lowered from $36 to $17.
MAKO Surgical shares dipped 39.25% to $14.95 in after-hours trading.
