Top Narrow Based Indexes For July 2
By 10:05 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 62.93 points, or 0.49%, to 12,817.16, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had dropped 4.01 points, or 0.29%. The NASDAQ composite index fell 6.24 points, or 0.21%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are supporting the markets are Computer and IT Product Distributor Stocks, which have gained 2.8%, Extended Care Provider Stocks, up 2.8%, and Modular Building Stocks, moving 1.6% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Computer and IT Product Distributor complex, BrightPoint (NASDAQ: CELL) had surged 63.6%. BrightPoint agreed to be bought by Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) for $650 million or $9 per share in cash.
The best performing Tickerspy Extended Care Provider stock has been Lincare Holdings (NASDAQ: LNCR), which was up 21.3%. Linde AG (OTC: LNAGF) agreed to buy Lincare Holdings for $4.6 billion.
Art's-Way Manufacturing Co (NASDAQ: ARTW) is today's leading Tickerspy's Modular Building stock, gaining 5.5%. Art's-Way Manufacturing's trailing-twelve-month ROE is 13.73%.
