Gigaom reports that Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) may launch its own cloud service platform, according to sources, at the Google I/O developer conference, which runs from June 27 to June 29 in San Francisco.

Google will be taking aim at Amazon's (NASDAQ: AMZN) EC2 cloud and Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT) cloud service.
