US Stock Futures Mixed As Investors Await Fed Decision

US stock futures are mixed this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 1 point to 12,763.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.20 points to 1,350.40. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 4.75 points to 2,617.25. US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.75% to 12,837.33, the S&P 500 index surging 0.98% to 1,357.98 and the Nasdaq 100 index gaining 1.19% to 2,929.76. The Fed is scheduled to announce its monetary policy decision at 12:30 p.m. ET. Bed Bath & Beyond BBBY is projected to post its Q1 EPS at $0.84 on revenue of $2.25 billion. Goodrich GR is estimated to post its Q2 earnings at $1.71 per share on revenue of $2.22 billion. Actuant ATU is projected to post its FQ3 earnings at $0.59 per share on revenue of $429 million. Steelcase SCS is expected to post its Q1 EPS at $0.13 on revenue of $681.10 million. Micron Technology MU is projected to post a Q3 loss at $0.20 per share on revenue of $2.00 billion. Red Hat RHT is expected to post its Q1 EPS at $0.27 on revenue of $310.77 million. Procter & Gamble Co PG lowered its fourth-quarter profit and sales estimates. Adobe Systems ADBE lowered its full-year revenue forecast. FSI International FSII issued a weak Q4 forecast. European markets were mixed today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.04%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.08%, French CAC 40 index dropped 0.26% and German DAX 30 index surged 0.04%. Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 1.11%, Chinese Shanghai Composite dropping 0.34% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.23%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index surged 0.53% and India's Sensex gained 0.22%. The euro gained 0.01% versus the dollar to trade at $1.2687 on Wednesday. Crude for July delivery dropped $0.17 to $83.86 a barrel, while gold for August delivery declined $5.30 to $1,617.90 an ounce.
