PIMCO's Kashkari on CNBC Says Likes Spirit Airlines, Danone

Earlier on CNBC, Neel Kashkari of PIMCO appeared and gave a few ideas of stocks PIMCO liked. He mentioned Spirit Airlines SAVE and Danone DANOY. Kashkari said he liked Spirit Airlines on the margins. Currently, Spirit has the highest margins in the industry and is a niche player focused on providing value to lower end consumers. Kashkari thought the name would do well in an environment where Americans continue to keep their spending subdued. Kashkari also liked Danone, a European food company. Despite Europe's troubles, Kashkari stated that Danone was mostly exposed to emerging markets. Further, no matter what happens in Europe, Kashkari argued that people will literally continue to eat.
