IGT Receives Recommendation for Online Gaming License by Nevada Gaming Control Board

International Game Technology IGT, the global leader in driving technology innovations in the gaming industry, today received unanimous recommendation from the Nevada Gaming Control Board for an interactive gaming service provider and manufacturer license. Nevada is the first US state to adopt statutes for the allowance of online gaming, and the NGCB is the first regulatory body in America to award interactive gaming licenses. "We are honored to be one of the first recommended providers by the Nevada Gaming Control Board," said Patti Hart, IGT chief executive officer. "This important step will allow IGT to better support our customers as they expand their offerings to their players to include interactive wager based entertainment. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of this exciting and necessary expansion of gaming in the US." IGT has over a decade of interactive gaming experience, and is currently the only US supplier to operate a successful business to business poker network. If approved, IGT's interactive gaming service provider and manufacturer license will allow them to partner with Nevada casino operators to provide online poker to their players. The final decision will be made by the Nevada Gaming Commission, which is scheduled to be decided during their upcoming meeting on June 21.
