A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 54 points to 12,435.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 5.60 points to 1,314.20. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 8.25 points to 2,539.00.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index gained 0.45%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.80%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.91% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.45%.
Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 1.05%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.52% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.36%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 0.32% and India's Sensex declined 0.27%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at UBS upgraded JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU) from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for JetBlue has been raised from $6 to $8.
JetBlue shares gained 0.84% to $4.80 in pre-market trading.
