China reported a 1.11% monthly rise in total mobile subscribers in April, according to data from the country's three telecommunications operators.

China's mobile subscribers rose to 1.02 billion in April. Mobile subscribers at China Mobile Ltd (NYSE: CHL) rose to 672.48 million, including 61.87 million 3G subscribers.

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU) reported that mobile subscribers surged to 212.75 million in April, including 51.78 million 3G subscribers. However, mobile subscribers at China Telecom Corp Ltd (NYSE: CHA) rose to 138.51 million in April, including 45.56 million 3G subscribers.
