DTE Energy has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) that is part of the company's plan to continue to add Michigan-based renewable power to its energy portfolio over the next two years. DTE Energy is seeking approximately 100 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy from Michigan-based wind projects that will be operating by the end of 2013.  This solicitation is part of DTE Energy's plan to meet Michigan's renewable energy goals. To meet the state's renewable energy goals, DTE Energy expects to add about 1,000 megawatts, or 10 percent of its power, from renewable resources by 2015.  The company plans to own facilities to supply up to half of that power and contract with third-party producers for the rest.
