Spanish First-Quarter GDP Drops 0.4% q/q

The Spanish gross domestic product dropped 0.4% on a quarterly basis in the first quarter, the Bank of Spain predicted. The Spanish economy contracted by 0.3% in the previous quarter. The output declined by 0.5% on an annual basis, after a 0.3% growth in the last three months of 2011.
