German Exports Surges In February

German exports rose for the second month in a row in February. According to data from the Federal Statistics Office, exports climbed a seasonally adjusted 1.6%, versus estimates for a slight drop. German imports rose 3.9%. The country's trade surplus came in at 13.6 billion euros. In February, German exports to non-euro zone countries within the EU climbed 9.7% y/y. However, exports to non-EU countries surged 13.4% y/y. The seasonally-adjusted trade surplus dropped to 13.6 billion euros, versus a revised 15.1 billion in January and versus estimates of 13.6 billion euros. .
