Costco Same-Store Sales Rise 6% In March

Costco Wholesale Corp COST reported a 6% rise in its March comparable-store sales. Analysts were projecting same-store sales to rise 6.7%. Its total sales climbed 9.6% to $9.13 billion, versus $8.33 billion, in the year-ago month. Same-store sales rose 6% in the US and climbed 7% internationally. Excluding the impact of fuel prices and foreign exchange, international same-store sales surged 9% in March.
