A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are slightly higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 10 points to 13,182.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.60 points to 1,396.60. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 2 points to 2,713.75. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 0.42%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.33%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.23% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.27%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 0.06%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 1.30% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.05%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dropped 0.17% and India's Sensex fell 1.19%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Deutsche Bank downgraded Morgan Stanley MS from “buy” to “hold.” The target price for Morgan Stanley has been lowered from $28 to $22.
