A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 29 points to 13,003.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 4.20 points to 1,367.10. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 5.50 points to 2,606.25.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index gained 0.30%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.14%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.55% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.83%.
Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 0.54%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 1.25% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.49%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.12% and India's Sensex dropped 0.86%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Jefferies & Company upgraded Target Corp (NYSE: TGT) from “hold” to “buy.” The target price for Target has been raised from $49 to $63.
Target shares gained 2.89% to close at $54.50 yesterday.
