In an optimistic gesture towards humankind, Google Inc.
GOOG
has launched a new brainy website for those with radical technological ideas called “Solve for X”. Smarty's can get in the interactive zone by visiting www.wesolveforx.com and reading up on chosen speakers, listening to talks about relative topics such as “collaborative science” and “getting big stuff done”, or simply learning about what's to come from this revolutionary site. The new advanced forum joins Google's many other entities and Internet endeavors, likely meaning that the Privacy Policy users will click at the bottom of the page is going to endure the same transition the rest of the Google products will face come March. While the company's
new Privacy Policy plan has been stirring up quite a bit of controversy across the Internet
, Solve for X is being reported in the web-community as a positive and pioneering stride. Could it be that Google timed the launch strategically as a move to kiss and make-up? Regardless, the effort certainly has not gone unnoticed. Solve for X is currently inviting users to join the conversation on its Google Plus page, noting that three important questions set these talks apart from the norm: Does the talk highlight a huge problem? Is there a concrete solution that could make a radical impact? And does it explain breakthrough science and technology could enable this solution? The overall goal in the end, not so secretly, is to potentially solve real world problems that would not be so widely discussed otherwise. The fact that endless Internet users have access to the site and can contribute to the solutions is the biggest bonus yet. So what will be discussed? “Technology” appears to be quite a broad and daunting topic. Luckily, Google scientist Richard DeVaul revealed that at the Solve for X conference, (which took place over the weekend), many esteemed individuals discussed ways of "transforming education" and creating "5x improvements in agriculture through better decision support, synthetic biology, and carbon-negative biofuels,” foxnews.com reported. Also lucky for those interested? The conference videos will be made available on Youtube. Solve for X is currently up-and-running, providing curious Internet surfers with an in-depth explanation as to what the site will intend to do, along with what went down at the invite-only “Solve for X Event”. The launch of Solve for X is just one more way Google will rope in the hundreds of thousands of people who visit their sites, connect one social medium to another, and make it that much more painful for someone to delete their Google account. Despite the public backlash Google has recently come up against for its Privacy Policies, it can be said without a shadow of a doubt that the world will likely, and happily, never be the same once scientists, students and citizens alike begin to Solve for X. Google is currently trading at $609.35 and is down -5.66% YTD.
