fell about 0.5% after the company announced its plans to cut 7% of its Australian staff. Toyota plans to lower 350 jobs at its manufacturing plant in Altona, Victoria state. Shares of Entergy Corp

gained about 0.7% after the company issued upbeat forecast for Q4 earnings. Entergy expects earnings of $0.93 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.91 per share. Entergy reported earnings of $1.30 per share in the year-ago period. Entergy reported a 27% rise in its Q3 profit in November. Shares of Chesapeake Energy Corp

gained about 6.1% after the company expected a drop in its 2012 natural gas production. Chesapeake Energy projects its total 2012 natural gas production to decline by up to one billion cubic feet equivalent a day. Shares of Home Depot Inc

gained about 0.1% after the company reported that it has bought Redbeacon.com. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
