SAIC Awarded Incrementally Funded Task Order With a Value of Over $55 Million
Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a task order by the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training & Instrumentation Acquisition Center to continue development of One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF) to increase its capabilities to a broad audience. The task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a contract value of more than $55 million, if all options are exercised and funded. Work will be performed primarily in Orlando, Fla. The task order was awarded under the Simulator & Trainer Omnibus Contract II vehicle.
PEO STRI provides the U.S. Army with training devices, simulations, simulators and instrumentation for both training and testing. The OneSAF system is a next generation computer generated forces simulation that can represent a full range of operations, systems, and control process, supporting all modeling and simulation domains. It allows users to configure computer generated force systems exactly as they need to support their simulation requirements. Under the contract, SAIC will help implement OneSAF enhancements by providing services in areas including conceptual modeling, engineering, design, development, production, and test and integration.
