Itron Acquires C&N GasGate Technology to Enhance Smart Gas Distribution Systems

Itron, Inc. ITRI announced today it acquired C&N Engineering's GasGate technology to augment its gas solutions by adding remote gas shut-off capabilities to its product portfolio. This specialized shut-off valve can be used in conjunction with Itron's gas technology around the world to improve gas distribution reliability and safety. Whether the gas utility is using an Itron drive-by or network system, the wireless shut-off valve can be utilized to turn off gas remotely in emergency or potentially hazardous situations.
