IDEX Corporation Appoints Andrew K. Silvernail Chairman of the Board

today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Andrew K. Silvernail, IDEX's Chief Executive Officer, to the additional position of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Silvernail's appointment will become effective on January 1, 2012 upon the previously–announced resignation of current non–executive Chairman, Larry Kingsley, on December 31, 2011. “Andy Silvernail has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities since joining IDEX, including as Chief Executive Officer since August,” said Mike Tokarz, independent lead director. “I am confident Andy will fulfill the responsibilities of Chairman of the Board with the same enthusiasm, professionalism and ethics that he has demonstrated in his other roles at IDEX.”
