Ormat Technologies, Inc. Files Universal Shelf Registration Statement for Up to $1.5B

Ormat Technologies, Inc. ORA, announced today that it has filed a universal shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The shelf registration statement, when declared effective by the SEC, will replace the Company's previous shelf registration filing whose effectiveness expired in October 2011, and will provide Ormat Technologies the opportunity to issue various types of securities, including common stock, debt securities, warrants and units of Ormat Technologies, from time to time, in one or more offerings up to a total dollar amount of $1.5 billion.
