Baidu Controls Nearly 80% of the Chinese Search Engine Market as Google Declines

You might “Google” your own name in America, but Chinese users are more likely to “Baidu” it.
That is, assuming Chinese users search their own name. Whatever the case,

reports that, as of Q3, Baidu
BIDU
has taken control of 77.7% of China's search engine market (by revenue). Google
GOOG
is at just 18.3%, a decline of more than 10% since the first quarter of last year.

Of course, one has to consider the damage Google has faced after getting into a battle with the Chinese government, who insisted that Google censors its own content.
