Single Touch Systems Cites Patent Ownership in "Letter of Notification" to Hulu

Single Touch Systems Inc. (OTC: SITO) today announced that on August 22, it issued a “Letter of Notification” to Hulu regarding Single Touch's issued patents directed to streaming and routing media, including U.S. Patent Nos. 7,054,949, 7,191,244, and 7,689,706. The letter was sent on behalf of Single Touch by attorneys Polsinelli Shugart, P.C.

Hulu currently operates an online video service and is jointly owned by NBC Universal parent Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ: CMCSA), News Corp. (NASDAQ: NWSA), The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS), and Providence Equity Partners.

According to Yankee Group's 2010 Mobile Video Services Market Assessment report, the number of mobile TV and video users is expected to rise from approximately 250 million in 2010 to 455 million in 2014, and deliver over U.S. $24 billion in revenue to operators in that year.
