Gulf Resources Changes Trading Symbol to "GURE"

Gulf Resources, Inc. GFRE GURE announced today that the Company will change the trading symbol of its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market to "GURE" effective at the open of the market on June 30, 2011. "We believe our new trading symbol is a better reflection of our name and will strengthen our corporate identity. The decision to change our trading symbol was voluntarily approved by the Company's Board of Directors and not due to any amendments in our stock or the market it trades on. We remain fully compliant with all our reporting responsibilities to the Nasdaq and the SEC," said Mr. Xiaobin Liu, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Resources.
