Paul Ceglia Might Own Half Of Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg may want to rethink his personal budget for 2011. Paul Ceglia, who sued Zuckerberg last July, alleging Zuckerberg had agreed to give Ceglia half ownership in Facebook when the project began, unearthed new evidence that he asserts backs his claims. The new evidence includes a contract, allegedly signed by Zuckerberg, and an email trail that Ceglia's lawyers will contend show that Ceglia's claims have merit. The contract is alleged to cover two projects that the two were collaborating on — Ceglia's project "StreetFax" and Zuckerberg's project "the face book". Ceglia also produced a canceled check for $1000. Facebook has long dismissed Ceglia's claims, arguing that the entire thing is a fabrication. Facebook said that the StreetFax part of the contract was legitimate, but that the portions involving the face book were added in later. Ceglia counters that Zuckerberg lied to him, pointing to the content of the emails, including one where Zuckerberg allegedly offers to send back Ceglia's $2,000 investment because Facebook was not doing well. Facebook was actually doing very well at the time. Ceglia would argue that Zuckerberg was trying to defraud him out of his fair share of the venture.
