IG Leads UK Spread Betting and CFD Markets

The Australian-based company Investment Trends has just published a report showing that IG Index and IG Markets lead the UK financial spread betting and CFD markets. IG Index retains 39% of the UK spread betting market and IG Markets 27% of CFDs. The number of CFD traders in the UK rose by 40% in 2010, and is expected to continue rising in 2011 by 36%. providers are targeting European markets to expand their businesses because of the recent unfavourable regulatory measures taken in both US and Japan. In order to be competitive in Europe, they had to offer CFD's to complete their Forex offer.
