Oplink Skyrocketing On Strong Earnings (OPLK)

Oplink Communications, Inc.

is up sharply today, gaining after the company reported stronger than expected earnings. Oplink reported earnings of 41 cents per share, 2 cents better than Wall Street was expecting. Revenue rose 48 percent to $49.6 million, better than the $48.7 million estimates. Oplink also said its guidance for the first quarter is 41-47 cents a share, on revenues of $50-$53 million. Wall Street is expecting 42 cents per share, on revenues of $51.1 million.
