FAcebook Is 'Not Even Close' To Losing Young People, Re/code Says

One of the largest concerns expressed by Facebook Inc FB investors is the possibility of a mass migration of young users towards a competing social media outlet. According to a Re/code, not only is this fear overblown, it is "not even close" to bearing any truth. The publication, citing a comScore report suggests that the percentage of 18 to 34 year old Internet users who frequent Facebook is "literally in a quadrant of its own." In fact, Facebook's coveted 18 to 34 demographic base spends more than 2.5 times as many minutes on its platform as they do its closest competitor - Snapchat. Meanwhile, Facebook-owned Instagram ranks a "very close third." Shares of Facebook were trading lower by 0.13 percent late Thursday morning.
