Divya Narendra might be known for co-founding ConnectU, a company he founded at Harvard along with the Winlevoss twins and which later sued Facebook Inc FB for copying its idea. However, Narendra is also the co-founder of SumZero, a website for professional investors. He was on CNBC Monday to discuss his current favorite stock, Tesla Motors Inc TSLA.

Difference Between Tesla And Others

"I am a huge fan of Tesla," Narendra said.

He explained what makes him bullish on Tesla, saying "I think, the difference between Tesla and a lot of these other companies is that their addressable market is so large that you could almost pick a number," Narendra said. "It's not a name that I personally would trade."

The General Thesis

Narendra continued, "I think, it's sort of a 5 to 10 year time horizon kind of a name because, I think, the sort of general thesis is that everyone should be driving electric cars because electric vehicle technology is in every way better than a gas combustion engine, right? It's far simpler to maintain, cheaper to maintain, you got performance scans as well. I mean, people read about ludicrous mode and sane mode - that's a function of the power train being far superior to that of a gas engine."

'The Only Car Company That's Building Both'

"Not to mention the sort of connectivity of the car which is what Adam Jones (Morgan Stanley's lead auto analyst) referenced in the most recent report. And now on top of that you have the entire energy business. It's the only car company that's building both the automobile and the energy supply and the distribution of that supply kind of all as one kind of unit," Narendra concluded.
