Dan Nathan Sees Unusual Options Activity In 3D Systems

On CNBC's Options Action, Dan Nathan spoke about unusually high bullish options activity in 3D Systems Corporation DDD. The options volume was 1.5 times higher than the average daily volume and calls outnumbered puts 2 to 1. Nathan said that the stock has been struggling and it has a 35 percent short interest. It made a new 52-week low on Thursday and the company didn't give a guidance this quarter because of market uncertainty. Nathan noticed that a trader bought 4,000 contracts of the June 25 calls for $0.40. The break-even for the trade is $25.40 or approximately 15 percent higher than the current market price. Nathan has a long position in August calls and he expects a move higher on a possible positive news about consolidation in the 3D space.
