Fast Money Traders Comment On Stocks That Are Making News On Monday

Pete Najarian spoke on CNBC's Fast Money, about the headlines in EMC Corporation EMC. It was reported that the company was in merger talks with Hewlett-Packard Company HPQ. Najarian explained that the merger talks have ended but there are still some rumors about pressure from Elliott Management to sell the stake in VMware, Inc. VMW and if that happens both stocks could trade higher, thinks Najarian. He added that it is safe to own both names. Realogy Holdings Corp RLGY dropped 3.83 percent on the news of a downgrade by Credit Suisse. Mike Murphy said that the stock was also hit by weaker than expected housing data and that it is currently trading 10 percent above its 52-week low. He thinks that there will be some kind of a recovery in the housing space. He is a buyer of Realogy Holdings Corp. The Clorox Co CLX spiked 7 percent on the rumors that it rejected a takeover offer. The company has also sold some assets in Venezuela. Joe Terranova believes that there is more to come and the main reason is The Clorox Co's exposure to the U.S. market because of the stronger U.S. dollar. Stephen Weiss said that AutoZone, Inc. AZO reported earnings on Monday and the stock declined 4.16 percent. He added that the revenues were little light and he is not sure that this is the end of the story because there might be more selling pressure to come.
