Speaking on CNBC's Options Action, Dan Nathan said that eBay Inc (NASDAQ: EBAY) traded higher on Friday on a rumor that Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) might be interested in purchasing the company.

EBay denied the rumor, and the stock pulled back a bit. It managed to close the session 2.98 percent higher, but without much action until the end of the day. Nathan decided to buy the stock because he believes that other tech companies might be interested in buying eBay. He named Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) and Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) as a possible candidates.
