Author of "Promote Yourself" and Millennial Branding founder Dan Schawbel discussed the difference between generation Y and Z workers on CNBC's Closing Bell recently.
“Gen Z could be more loyal than gen Y. When asked about how many companies that they might work for in a lifetime, ah, gen Z said one fewer than gen Y, and so they could be more loyal. And that could be a good thing for companies,” said Schawbel.
“But also more entrepreneurial by about 6 percent. And companies again, as with gen Y, need to embrace an entrepreneurial type culture. Another thing is the top leadership trait their looking for is honesty.”
Schawbel noted that this means a more “transparent” and “authentic” workplace with open communication policies.
“Gen Z wants to be involved in all these type of discussions even though they're not in the boardroom,” said Schawbel.
