CNBC Options Action's Mike Khouw spoke about an increased options activity in Dow Chemical (NYSE: DOW).

He said that there was four times average daily options volume in the name and the most active were the September 52 call options. These options were traded for $2, which means that traders expect to see the stock above $54 on September expiration. They were also selling the January 52 puts and buying the January 57.5 calls.

Dow Chemical gained 1.02 percent and closed at $53.64 in regular trading. It added an additional 1.1 percent in after-hours trading.
