CNBC's Stock Pops & Drops From August 12

Karen Finerman said on CNBC's Stock Pops & Drops that she would stay away from Intercept Pharmaceuticals ICPT. The stock gained 16.59 percent on Tuesday and it closed at $276.52. During the day it traded at $349.08, but it failed to keep the gains. Tim Seymour talked about Trina Solar TSL and he said that the company has just bought a big UK solar producer and the market didn't like that. Trina Solar fell 5.21 percent and it closed at $11.27. Brian Kelly thinks that it would be smart to wait for a couple of days for things to settle down in Nuance Communications NUAN. For now, Kelly advises traders to stay away. Nuance Communications dropped 9.01 percent after reporting earnings. Dan Nathan said that Rackspace Hosting RAX had a decent quarter and it reaffirmed guidance for the year. Despite that the stock declined 5.78 percent and Dan Nathan thinks that the problem is that the company has basically put itself for sale and if Morgan Stanley doesn't find any buyers the stock is going to trade lower. He added that it currently trades on a very important support level.
